On Thursday, November 27th, the staff of the Schutz School were treated to a delicious Thanksgiving meal prepared for them by the fabulous school cooking crew. I snapped some pics of the cooks along with their boss, Seham. She is in a couple of the photos.
The rest of the photos were taken today, Friday, November 28, as Krs and I went for a walk around the school neighborhood and then, later, I went for a solo stroll to the sea to see what I could see. It's takes about 15 minutes to get to the Corniche, the walkway/street which hugs the Med.

My goodness, here we are, in early November. Our first quarter of school has been completed, we have parent/teacher conferences coming up in about a week, and the snow is DEFINITELY not flying here in Alex. The temps are coming down a bit, but most days they still get into the 70's and 80's.
In late August most of the staff got to together at a Canadian colleague's apartment for Thanksgiving ala Canada. The Canadian Thanksgiving is celebrated in late October, but it's the same warm and wonderful holiday that we look forward to back in the U.S. There are a few pics taken of that occasion. Debby, the Canadian in question, has been teaching at Schutz for quite some time and is married to Mahmoud. They have two adult sons living in Australia and Canada.
Last weekend we celebrated our Fall Festival/Halloween party here at school on Thursday evening, the 30th. There were games and lots of other activities for the students to do. I have included some pictures of that event as well.
Kris and I are looking forward to December when we will be having our first full family reunion with the boys for over two years......in IRELAND!! We are excited about seeing Matt and Jacob again. Also, with my Irish roots, I've always wanted to visit the "homeland". We will spend a few days in Dublin, but most of our time will probably be spent in the west of the country. We've tentatively booked a place to stay in Ballina, Ireland, which is located in County Mayo.
That's all for today...
Mike
